Creating the Future

This is a congregation-wide invitation to spend a few hours on Saturday, November 16th to help launch UUCSS into its future by sharing your best memories, most beloved church programs and activities, and your aspirational hopes for UUCSS in the years to come.

What: As we prepare to launch a capital campaign and design and build our new home, the Board of Trustees is undertaking a congregation-wide effort to determine our future directions — all with an eye to growing our spiritual development, programs, membership, celebrations, and community engagement.

But first, we need your knowledge and ideas — please join us for a Creating the Future Weekend designed for the congregation to co-create a 2-3-year plan — a living document we will actualize together and use every day in our new home and beyond.

How will UUCSS be different and better when we move to a new home? What vision statement will guide, inspire, remind, control and free the congregation to be true to our history, and reach further into the future?

When: Saturday, November 16th, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, followed by lunch.

How: With assistance from Stewardship for Us, a UU-affiliated consultant group, UUCSS volunteer leaders and members of the board will facilitate our conversations toward what makes for positive change, success and collective engagement as you look toward a new future.

From this rich material, the UUCSS facilitators will frame a living road map to our future. The plan will be presented to the congregation for approval in December 2019.

Who: YOU! Please join us! The more congregants who share their dreams and stories, the more our plan can be built on common ground. Come to UUCSS on Saturday 11/16.

SNACKS, LUNCH, AND CHILDCARE WILL BE PROVIDED.
